Nutty Chili

Living Food Feast from Sprout Raw Food
Serves 8
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Brazil nuts
- 2 garlic cloves
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1-2 jalapeno peppers
- 1 tablespoon unpasteurized miso
- 1 sweet onion
- 1 cup tomatoes
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 cups sun-dried tomatoes, soaked in 2 cups filtered water
- 1 cup Tomato Salsa (see recipe)
- 2-3 cups filtered water for desired consistency
Steps:
- Place the Brazil nuts in food processor and chop until finely ground and place in a bowl.
- Place the garlic, olive oil, salt, thyme, cumin, chili powder, jalapeno pepper, miso, onions, tomatoes and peppers, and sun-dried tomato paste in the blender. Blend well until smooth.
- Take this mixture and stir in the Tomato Salsa and add to the Brazil nuts, blending well. Add filtered water for desired consistency.
- Place in a serving bowl and keep warm in a dehydrator until serving.
